Squash Bay of Plenty is excited to welcome our newest team member! Rebecca Glenton will step into the General Manager role and brings with her enthusiasm and a strong sporting sector background.
Rebecca will take up the role on December 6 and is looking forward to the opportunity to move the sport forward. "Squash BOP has been in Marcus’ capable hands for many years and I hope to continue it’s development."
She has most recently occupied a women’s development role for BOP and Northern Districts Cricket. During her time with Bay of Plenty Cricket, she used innovation and creativity to increase player participation tenfold. This was achieved through developing new and extensive pathways for female junior players and through her strong relationships in the wider cricket community. She is now excited to bring her passion to a new sport "I’m looking forward to working with Robbie and the extended squash community to grow the game."
Squash BOP Chair Kelly Cox says “Rebecca comes to us with a strong background and we are excited about what she brings to the district. We have a cool culture in the Bay, and we think she will only enhance and improve the experience for clubs and players"
