Great to see so many coaches from around the Bay at the BOP Coaching Conference on Saturday. Eighteen coaches from around the district descended on Devoy Squash & Fitness where various presenters delivered several valuable sessions. Th coaches had varied backgrounds with different levels of experience. The content included match analysis, on court error detection, observation skills, school programs, coaching templates, and concluded with an open coaching discussion.
Another conference is planned for later in the year with new presenters and new topics such as strength & conditioning, nutrition, court movement, pressure sessions, team coaching, and much more, so watch out for more information coming soon.
The feedback was very positive with coaches expressing the value of the conference for all levels of coaches. The Bay is very lucky to have such a strong group of top coaches, and we are working hard to continue to develop new and aspiring coaches through our Coach Development program, headed by our CoachForce Officer Robbie Wyatt. We also have a great culture of coaches who are willing to share information and help others to improve
