The Bay of Plenty Junior Team to compete in the Junior Inter-District Teams event has been selected. BOP has a strong history in the junior nationals, and this year's team is sure to continue the districts strong showing.
While the boys team sees the return of all the players that competed last year, there are a few new faces in the girls team. Young Ella Hill is currently ranked 5th in NZ for U13 girls and is certainly a player for the future. Other debutants are Anika Russell and Emma Merson.
The team head to Auckland for the individuals on 3-6 October, before lining up in the teams from 7-9 October. The individual event sees the players line up in their respective age groups (U11, U13, U15, U17, U19) to fight for national titles. Seedings haven't been released, but the Bay is sure to have several players hunting for top 3 finishes.
