BOP's two-time world champion Amanda Landers-Murphy has been selected in a very strong NZ Squash team to compete at the Commonwealth Games. Along with the singles event, she will team up with Joelle King in the Womens event, and Zac Millar in the Mixed doubles. She will be looking forward to pushing for medals in a team that is touted as our strongest ever by many experts.
Amanda was recently interviewed on TVNZ's Breakfast show and is enjoying the profile our sport is getting as a result of this pinnacle event. While being in front of the camera is not something Amanda is used to, it is great for Squash to be on main stream media and on TV. "I was well and truly been taken out of the comfort zone these last few days but amazing publicity for Squash and the 2018 Commonwealth Games team. Stoked to be a part of it."
